Major Fire Emergency Declared In Australia:

NO LESS THAN 62 WILDFIRES are roaring through the southeastern state today and with 14 of them still out of control, the threat to towns and cities is growing.

More than 200 homes have been destroyed so far as thousands of residents flee ahead of the explosive fires.

One cluster of three fires is threatening to join into one so-called "mega-fire" that will present an unimaginable challenge to the thousands of rural firefighters that are in the state and bordering Victoria as well.  If the trio forms into one, then there will be a true threat to the suburbs of Sydney.
